Presentation of Department for the Teaching Staff Training [DPPD]

The Department for Teaching Staff Training (DPPD) is a didactic structure of the University „Eftimie Murgu” of Reşiţa, providing the specific training of higher education students and graduates who intend to become teachers, as well as the lifelong learning and enhanced specialised training, both psycho pedagogic and didactic-methodological, for the teachers from the preschool, elementary, middle, secondary, post-secondary and academic education system.

DPPD was established by the Minister’s Order no.4294/22.08.2002 and the Decision of the UEMR Senate no. 581 / 2002. During its years of functioning, DPPD developed a wide range of programmes, activities, projects and partnerships destined to the initial and lifelong training for the didactic career:

Initial training

- the programme of psycho-pedagogic training, Level I, offered to the UEMR students, granting the bachelor graduates the right to fill didactic positions in the preschool,, elementary and middle school educational system;

- the programme of psycho-pedagogic training, Level I, offered in post-academic regime;

- the programme of psycho-pedagogic training, Level II, offered tote h UEMR master students, granting the master graduated the right to fill didactic positions in secondary, post-secondary and higher education system;

- Programme of psycho-pedagogic training, Level II, offered in post-academic regime.

Lifelong training

- Examinations for obtaining the 2nd and 1st didactic grades;

- programmes / stages of lifelong learning / enhancement courses for accumulating the mandatory 90 credits each five years, for the didactic, management and control staff in the pre-academic education system;

- other programmes of scientific, didactic and psycho-pedagogic enhancement or for acquiring complementary competences which diversify the range of activities and positions that may be filled by the teaching staff, such as educational counselling and career planning, school social work, adults’ education, mentoring, expertise in European projects writing and management.
