Within the University "Eftimie Murgu" of Reşiţa, the Library has the mission to support the process of training, research and education, by putting at the readers’ disposal: publication (books, periodicals) in all fields of interest, electronic databases, study premises.

Objectives
In the generic context of the higher education reform in Romania and informational boom, the library aims at reaching the following goals objectives:
- permanent development of the fund of publications in hard copy and electronic format;
- improvement of the existing technical-material endowment;
- improvement and diversification of the services offered by the library; - increase readers’ and storage premises;
- continual enhancement of the staff’s professional training;
- procurement of modern means of information on the national and international level.

Services
- informatics services room;
- bibliographic information;
- direct access to catalogues;
- access to reading room;
- loan of publications - for home or in the reading room.

Information about getting the reader’s permit:
For the full time and distance learning bachelor students and master students:
- identity card;
- student’s booklet with current visa.

For the UEM teachers and employees:
- identity card;
- employee’s certificate.

For PhD students and other persons from the academic milieu:
- identity card.

Open hours
The library, the desk and the reading / internet rooms are open from Monday to Thursday between 8:00 and 18:00, and on Friday between 8:00 and 16.00.

During holidays the library is open from Monday to Thursday, from 8:00 to 16:00, and on Friday from 8:00 to 14:00.

The loans are granted on the basis of Identity Card of Passport.
