History

The library of the University "Eftimie Murgu" was created in 1971, along with the Engineering Institute of Reşiţa, with an initial book fund of 2,500 volumes.
Restructured and modernised in 1990, the university library is today the most important unit of information and scientific documentation in the technical and economic fields in the county, sheltering more than 75,800 volumes, 3,211 journals and 10,289 standards, with a number of 1,960 registered readers.

The library provides students and teachers optimum conditions of documentation and training, being endowed with modern reading rooms, now connected to the Internet.
