In accordance with the Minister’s Order OMECTS no. 5.745 of 13 September 2012 for the approval of the frame methodology of organisation for psycho-pedagogic training programmes for the certification of didactic profession competences, issued by the Ministry of Education, Research, Youth and Sports, the graduates of academic studies may fill didactic positions in the educational system on condition of graduating from the Programme of Psycho-Pedagogic Training offered by DPPD Department for the Teaching Staff Training.
The certification of the competences for the didactic profession may be obtained on two levels, i.e.:
a) Level I (initial) granting university graduates the right to fill teaching positions in pres-school, elementary and middle school education, on condition of accumulating minimum 30 transferable credits in the psycho-pedagogic training programme;
b) Level II (enhancement) granting university graduates the right to fill teaching positions in secondary, post-secondary and academic education system, after meeting two requirements:
(i) accumulating minimum 60 transferable credits in the psycho-pedagogic training programme;
(ii) graduating from a master programme in the bachelor field.
DPPD - The UEMR Department for the Teaching Staff Training provides lifelong learning through the following types of programmes and activities:
a. Examinations for obtaining the 2nd and 1st didactic grades, including the afferent preparatory courses;
b. Programmes / stages of lifelong learning / enhancement courses for accumulating the mandatory 90 credits each five years, for the didactic, management and control staff in the pre-academic education system;
c. Programmes for the building and development of competences for the leadership personnel in the pres-academy education;
d. Programmes of professional conversion for the teachers who are higher education graduates , by graduate or post-graduate courses, according to the methodology approved by the relevant ministry;
e. other programmes of scientific, didactic and psycho-pedagogic enhancement or for acquiring complementary competences which diversify the range of activities and positions that may be filled by the teaching staff, such as educational counselling and career planning, school social work, adults’ education, mentoring, expertise in European projects writing and management.
